2010 Winter/Spring Classes
Two Socks on two circulars
–
Instructor: Amy LaFave Cost: $40
Learn this technique and say goodbye to double points forever!
Knit both socks at the same and when you are done knitting you
have the pair completed and ready to wear! It is helpful if you
have knitted socks before, but it is not required. This class is
3 sessions.

Beginnings

This class is designed to assure your success in learning the
basics of knitting. We cover the material slowly, methodically
and with lots of practice. Questions are welcome and
encouraged. No new skill comes without some effort, and we help
you through the initial hurdles and into the joy of creating
something of quality with your own two hands.
Both the true beginner and the novice will benefit from the
material and hands-on content of this course. If you are
looking to start up or start over, this is the class for you.

Intrelac Scarf
- Instructor: Lisa LaFave $25
Come join in on a fun and addicting way of knitting. Entrelac
knitting is a technique used to create a textured diamond
pattern. The end result resembles basket-woven strips of
knitted fabric. This is done by interconnecting squares on two
different orientations. Three yarn choices and the needle size
is determined by yarn choice.

Beginning Fair Isle

Learn the basics in Fair Isle knitting while making a lovely
scarf.

Continental Knitting
– Instructor: Jane Gerdon $20
Learn the techniques of continental knitting or sometimes
referred to as the European method of knitting. It often times
makes your knitting skills much faster as there is less movement
to achieve each stitch.

First Sweater
– Instructor: Jane Gerdon $45
Choose from several top down patterns from Knitting Pure &
Simple. Great 1st time sweater as there are no seams
to sew when project is complete. You can choose from child to
adult, cardigan or pullover.

Classic Construction Skills
– Instructor: Connie Woodward-Haas $35
This one will cover choosing and following basic patterns, basic
shaping and finishing. You will choose your own beginning
project.

Colorwork Made Easy
– Instructor: Jane Gerdon $45
Find out how easy it is to put colorful design into your
knitting. This project will be a felted basket with a twist.

Spring
Bag
– Instructor: Connie Woodward-Hass $35
BYOB- (Build Your Own Bag) Workshop. This is a bag & flower
pattern. Learn a new technique and how to finish beautifully.

This workshop is 2 hours and by Appointment at your convenience,
please call to schedule in advance.
